CI Centre Professor Daniel Mulvenna is a consultant on international security and risk management issues to multinationals and global institutions. He specializes in the protection of intellectual property, the implementation of personnel protection and counterterrorism programs, as well as in personal security training for both government and private sector employees traveling to and operating in the higher-risk area of the world. For the past four year he has been conducting specialized training programs in Bogota, Lima, Caracas, Mexico City, San Jose, Beirut, Manila, Johannesburg, Baku and Moscow, as well as at a European regional training center in Vienna, Austria.

For 19 years he was Director of Global Security for two multinational corporations with extensive operations and personnel in more than fifty countries. He retired after 21 years service from the Security Service of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) where he was involved in criminal, security and counterintelligence operations.

Mulvenna is a graduate of Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada and from 1980 to 1988, was a lecturer in the Criminology Department of Mount Royal College, Calgary, Canada.
