The Centre for Counterintelligence and Security
Studies of Alexandria, Virginia, is dedicated to the study of the
counterintelligence discipline. It is staffed by intelligence experts retired
from the FBI, CIA, Military Intelligence, RCMP and KGB as well as America,
British and Canadian intelligence historians and authors.
The CI Centre is widely known in the US
Intelligence Community for its premier counterintelligence training.
On
April 25-30, 2004, the staff of the CI Centre
hosted SpyRetreat™: an
exclusive event held at the luxury
resort, The Homestead, in Hot Springs, Virginia.
Select lectures on espionage cases were
presented by the CI Centre staff in the mornings. The rest of the day was
open to enjoy the renowned golf courses, spa and a host of great
activities at this historic and grand
resort nestled in the beautiful Virginia mountains.
Guests mingled with former FBI, CIA, Military Intelligence
and KGB officers as well as other intelligence professionals in an intimate
setting. They met others who shared their interest and passion in the subject
pf espionage.
